Mathematician Thomas Forney is distraught about the seemingly premature loss of his brother and has made it his life's mission to calculate the exact time of the end of the world. With the moon looming ever closer overhead and their supplies dwindling Thomas must leave his numbers on a short trip for the food that will sustain his sick wife. Along the way he learns about the hearts of people and painful truths about himself.
